What the Press Says......

Back in May of this year, Sylvia of Sylvan Entertainments rang to ask if a protege' of hers could come and demonstrate her talent and possibly get a booking. After hearing this young lady, we were only too pleased to arrage a booking, not only for this year but for next aswell!! I refer of course, to the superb, talented and pretty 17 year old Kay'D'.

She is taking the British Country Music Scene by storm. what an amazing voice and amazing stage presence for one so young!

she started her performance with "Suds in the Bucket" then proceeded to give a terriffic rendition of various numbers ranging from "Mama Hes Crazy", "Who's Sorry Now?" (remember Connie Francis?), "Coal Miner's Daughter", "Harper Valley PTA", "Walking After Midnight", "57 Chevrolet", etc etc every song was beautifully sung!

After looking at her itinerary for 2008 and 2009, i was not suprised to see how full her bookings were. Obviously we are not the only ones to recognise her talent!

So many compliments to Kay during the break and after the show which she is now used to without becoming big headed.

with young talent such as this appearing on the C&W scene, there is hope for another revival of the music that we all love.

To appear on the front cover of August's SCM is a terriffic compliment to her, but richly deserved. So if you havent booked this dynamic young lady at your club, you hard better start thinkinga about 2010 because she has few dates left in 2009!

11th July 2008 is a night that many at our club will remember for a long time. this was the night we first saw and heard the talent that is Kay'D' (pronounced Kaydee). This young lady, just 17 years old, is a new talent on the British country scene and one that will certainly be an asset to its future. W'ith a range of songs from new country as well as more traditional tunes, Kay'D' recognised the audiences preferences and played to them with a fabulous collection of great country songs. "Suds in the Bucket", "Heartbreaks on me", "Wiser than i was a minute ago", "Blue Kentucky Girl", "Do you still wanna buy me that drink?" and "Blue Rose Is" are just a sample from a fantastic evening's entertainment. The dance floor was full all night with line, partner and social dancers. Combine this with the ability to engage her audience in an entertaining way, Kay'D' recieved one of the longest rounds of applause I have ever seen at the club, before a well recieved encore "Closer". Clubs, book this young lady while you can, you will not be dissapointed. Young talent like this is all too rare on the British Country scene. - WESTCOTT COUNTRY & WESTERN DANCE CLUB
